Second Transnational Project Meeting in Vienna, Austria
On 11th and 12th of October 2022 the second Transnational Project Meeting planned within the framework of HECSOs took place in Vienna, Austria. The meeting was organised by Caritas Vienna – an organisation and partner of the project that has its principal core in supporting the most vulnerable in society. Regarding HECSOs, Caritas Vienna Community and Neighborhood Work offers its expertise in planning and managing various innovative community engagement initiatives in Vienna.
All 8 partners’ representatives were able to take part in the meeting, which was moderated by UNITO. It was the second time the partners were able to meet in person after the start of the project. This meeting was about getting an overview of case studies and materials gathered on which basis a presentation and discussion of the toolkit prototype took place. Partners talked about the definition and collective decision on procedures to analyze the case studies, division of tasks, and the overall plan of action. Also, they coordinated their financial and narrative reporting and communication and social media activities.
A part of the agenda was to visit some community engagement initiatives at Kulturhaus Brotfabrik (the art initiative Atelier 10, the social enterprise MagdasKantine, the music association Superar and the community project Community Cooking), which is located in the 10th district of Vienna, Favoriten. This offered the opportunity to exchange about impressions and thoughts about community engagement and to learn about similar projects in different European countries. The second meeting deepened the cohesion of the project team.
